French taxpayers warned after personal data stolen in major hack

France 24 reports that more than six hundred seventy thousand French taxpayers are being notified of a data breach affecting their personal and tax information. The stolen data was allegedly offered online, and authorities warn it could be used for identity fraud and scams. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu is holding a meeting to address the digital security of government institutions.
