Second World War 'hell ship' found in Philippines with over 1,000 prisoners

According to Euronews, divers have found the wreck of the Hofuku Maru, a Japanese freighter sunk in nineteen forty-four off Luzon in the Philippines. The ship carried more than twelve hundred Allied prisoners of war when it went down. A recently digitized military file finally solved the mystery of its location after more than eighty years underwater. The discovery closes a significant chapter in World War Two's maritime history.
