Next Generation of Planetary Scientists Learn Public Engagement Skills

science

Seven undergraduate interns at Arizona State University's FORCE laboratory completed a science communication training program run by NASA's Science Activation initiative. Per NASA Science, the interns—who work in a lab using high-pressure equipment to simulate conditions deep inside planets—learned to translate their research into clear, engaging stories for diverse audiences through workshops and office hours. They put those skills to use at a public open house and university poster session, connecting visitors and peers with their research on planetary formation and evolution.
