Northern Lights Storybook

NASA has released an educational resource for elementary students exploring the Northern Lights. The lesson plan, called Northern Lights Storybook, guides K through fifth graders through traditional aurora stories shared by Alaskan Native elders, then encourages them to create their own illustrated books, blending science instruction with cultural heritage and early literacy skills.
