Researcher is trying to save biodiverse landscapes, one unkempt garden at a time

science

Phys.org reports on a researcher working to preserve biodiverse landscapes through native gardens—but these plantings face a persistent challenge. Native gardens frequently deteriorate after their initial setup: meadows become overtaken by weeds, native grasses are cut down, and pollinator gardens lose their pollinators within a couple of years. The ecological vision is clear, but maintaining it often isn't.
