LASR Labs January 2027 applications are open!

According to LessWrong, LASR Labs, a London-based AI safety research program, is accepting applications for its January twenty twenty-seven cohort. Participants join teams of three or four to develop an academic paper on existential risk reduction from advanced AI, working full-time over thirteen weeks with experienced supervisors. The program provides fifteen thousand pounds to cover living costs in London, plus meals, office space, and flights. Recent cohorts have published at top ML venues including NeurIPS, ICLR, and ICML workshops—including three papers at the NeurIPS twenty twenty-five main conference. The program is designed to launch careers in AI safety; ninety percent of alumni have transitioned to roles at organizations like OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and the UK AI Security Institute. Applications close September twentieth.
