A severe heatwave across Europe has been linked to thirteen hundred deaths, according to the World Health Organization. Germany has recorded its highest temperature on record at forty-one point seven degrees Celsius. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has warned that Europe remains unprepared for such extreme heat, highlighting the continent's vulnerability to future temperature extremes.
