Venezuela faces a catastrophic humanitarian crisis following two major earthquakes — magnitude seven point two and seven point five — that have left thousands missing. So far, thirty-three people have been rescued from the debris. The US Geological Survey estimates more than ten thousand deaths are possible, which would place these among Latin America's deadliest earthquakes in the last century.
