Thirty-three Australian Rules footballers have been diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a degenerative brain disease linked to repeated head trauma. According to ABC News, the diagnoses include players who never reached the premier league, revealing that the brain injury crisis extends throughout all levels of the sport.
