per France 24, five‑time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo became the first Black African to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, during a ceremony in Los Angeles attended by film stars and industry leaders. The Walk of Fame, a famous stretch of sidewalk adorned with brass stars, has honored more than two thousand eight hundred personalities for achievements in entertainment, film, music, and recording. Kidjo’s star is the two thousand eight hundred fifty‑third to be installed on the celebrated boulevard. The ceremony highlighted the Walk of Fame’s role in celebrating diverse contributions to entertainment.
