Flight attendants freaked out that Google is buying tons of Spirit employee data

Last Friday, Google won an auction for a massive trove of Spirit Airlines employee records, according to Ars Technica. Ars Technica reports that the data includes nearly all workplace information but leaves out personal customer details, and Google will keep it de‑identified under the supervision of a court‑appointed ombudsman. The outlet notes the company has pledged not to re‑identify the information or sell it without honoring the same privacy safeguards.
