60 million stars shine in Euclid telescope's new image of the Milky Way
science
According to the European Space Agency, the Euclid space telescope has captured the largest and most detailed visible-light image of the Milky Way's center to date. The photo reveals more than sixty million stars densely packed in the galactic bulge, alongside glowing nebulae and star clusters. The image is a mosaic built from nine separate observations, each covering an area roughly the size of a full moon. It's a remarkable window into the crowded heart of our galaxy.
