The Guardian reports that a UC Berkeley math professor, Zvezdelina Stankova, has admitted to using AI to help edit an op-ed she wrote for the San Francisco Standard. In the piece, she said some of her students are five to eight years behind in math skills, lacking a middle school-level understanding of fractions and basic algebra. She blamed the university's test-blind admissions policy for admitting students unprepared for Berkeley's rigor.
