Pause HS2 reset until you are confident it can be delivered, NAO tells ministers

The National Audit Office—Britain's public spending watchdog—has advised the government to pause HS2's revised plans until officials are confident they can actually deliver them. The rail project needs a stable foundation, the NAO said, to avoid repeating the expensive mistakes of the past.
