‘A privilege – and pretty terrifying’: James Norton to play Hamlet in the West End

According to The Guardian, actor James Norton is set to play Hamlet in a West End production next autumn, marking his first major Shakespearean stage role. The King and Conqueror star will perform in the production directed by German director Thomas Ostermeier, whose acclaimed work is also his first Shakespearean play in English. Norton, who last appeared on stage in two thousand twenty-three in A Little Life, has described the role as both a privilege and pretty terrifying.
