OpenAI glitch locks out vetted cyber researchers – and some can't get back in

A technical glitch at OpenAI has locked several vetted security researchers out of the company's Trusted Access for Cyber program. Per The Register, some of these users found their approved status vanished and were told they were ineligible when attempting to re-verify their accounts. The program is designed to give legitimate cyber defenders expanded capabilities to find and fix vulnerabilities, but OpenAI has reportedly been unable to restore access for some affected participants.
