A million passports leaked online by marijuana club portal

An Irish software company managing cannabis social club memberships left over one million member records and roughly nine hundred eighty-five thousand passport photos sitting on a completely unsecured server. A security researcher discovered the breach after joining a club in Barcelona and reverse-engineering the membership app. According to Boing Boing, the exposed data included identity verification photos with no password protection whatsoever.
