Court ends case against police charged over use of Taser and pepper spray on ‘vulnerable’ First Nations man

A court has permanently stayed the case against two senior constables charged with criminal offenses. The officers were accused of using Tasers, pepper spray, and restraints on a cognitively and emotionally vulnerable First Nations man at a watch house in far north Queensland in January twenty twenty-four. As The Guardian reports, the court ended the proceedings after finding defects in the investigation.
