Temperatures above 40C and tropical nights this week, warns IPMA

Portugal's weather service is warning of a significant heat wave beginning Monday, according to Euronews. Yellow weather alerts are in effect for central and southern inland areas, expanding across much of the country by Wednesday. Temperatures in the Tagus valley and Alentejo region could reach forty-three degrees Celsius by week's end, with tropical nights expected throughout the affected areas.
