PM Shehbaz directs authorities to provide financial assistance to flood-hit families

Dawn says Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered officials to deliver financial assistance to families affected by the recent monsoon floods. He instructed that aid be provided to the bereaved and to those whose homes were partially or completely destroyed, and he asked federal ministers to visit the hardest‑hit regions to accelerate relief efforts. The government reports that more than one hundred sixty‑four tonnes of supplies have been sent so far, and it warns that a fresh spell of rain is expected across Punjab, Sindh and the northern areas through the weekend.
