Trafalgar Entertainment acquires Nicholas Hytner’s Bridge theatre

Nicholas Hytner's Bridge theatre in London has been sold to Trafalgar Entertainment, the company that operates more than twenty venues across the UK and abroad. The Bridge, which opened in 2017, was founded by Hytner and his former National Theatre colleague Nick Starr. According to The Guardian, the sale also includes the Lightroom, a venue for immersive art shows. Hytner, who directed several acclaimed productions at the Bridge including Julius Caesar and Guys and Dolls, says nine years felt like the right time to move on. He's now focused on other theatrical projects, including The Standard of Living, which opens in London's West End in September.
