Tropical Storm Moke carrying more rain toward hurricane-damaged Hawaii
world
PBS NewsHour reports that Tropical Storm Moke is moving toward Hawaii with the potential for heavy rain. Forecasters expect up to ten inches of rain across the Big Island and as much as fifteen inches in isolated areas, enough to trigger life‑threatening flooding and mudslides on the windward and southeast slopes. The islands are still recovering from recent hurricane damage, so the added rain could strain relief efforts.
