Guinea searches for survivors after landfill landslides kill 30

A landslide at a garbage dump outside Conakry, Guinea, has killed at least thirty people, France 24 reports. The government says it has mobilized significant resources to search for survivors who may still be trapped beneath the waste. Less than a week earlier, officials had announced plans to close that same landfill, known as Dar-es-Salam, citing dangerous conditions there.
