Brazilian filmmaker Orlando Senna has died at age 86. According to Variety, Senna passed away on June 9 from pneumonia in Rio de Janeiro. He was best known for co-directing the 1974 feature 'Iracema: Uma Transa Amazonica' with Jorge Bodanzky. The hard-hitting social realist film remains a landmark of Brazilian cinema and has been recognized as one of the country's most important works.
