Exclusive: OrbitAID to Launch RPO Demo in 2027

Payload Space reports that Indian firm OrbitAID Aerospace plans to demonstrate a full orbital refueling sequence in the first quarter of twenty twenty‑seven. The low‑Earth‑orbit mission will launch a chaser satellite to inspect, dock with, fuel, and boost a target satellite to a higher orbit—all in a single flight. The company says it moved from design to launch readiness in just eleven months thanks to its proprietary hardware and software. After the demo, OrbitAID intends to use the lessons learned to offer commercial life‑extension services for geostationary satellites, with talks already under way.
