According to Stanford researchers, a new treatment blocking an aging-related protein has restored lost cartilage in older mice and prevented arthritis after knee injuries. Early tests on human cartilage samples showed similar regeneration patterns. If this approach works in human trials, it could fundamentally change how we treat joint damage — replacing joint replacement surgery with actual cartilage regeneration.
