According to TechCrunch, the operation sent 2.5 million text messages over just two weeks, targeting hundreds of thousands of victims. The group allegedly used artificial intelligence to automate and scale what appears to be a phishing scheme, exploiting the technology to reach an unprecedented number of people in a short window.
