Wanda Sykes says Bill Maher took her Golden Globes joke a little too seriously. When presenting the stand-up comedy award in January, Sykes cracked a quip about a queer Black woman filling a role usually held by other types of people. According to Variety, Maher confronted her afterward about the dig—but Sykes insists it was clearly meant as comedy. Apparently even comedians need a laugh track sometimes.
