Uganda dissidents on trial as president’s son tightens control

According to RFI, Uganda's military chief has ordered the arrest of leading activists and politicians in recent weeks. This past weekend, authorities shut down the country's main independent media group. Two of those arrested—opposition figure Kizza Besigye and his lawyer—are set to appear in court this week.
