Russian filmmaker Andrey Zvyagintsev is having quite the year. His thriller 'Minotaur'—which examines life in contemporary Russia—won the top prize at the Sydney Film Festival, taking home a $42,000 AUD award. Variety reports the 73rd edition also set a new record for ticket sales.
