Emojli was a social network where the only language allowed was emoji
tech
In 2014, YouTuber Tom Scott and programmer Matt Gray created Emojli—a social network where only emoji were permitted. No letters, numbers, or punctuation allowed in usernames or messages. The app was inspired by Yo, which did nothing but send the word 'Yo' to contacts. Emojli took that extreme minimalism even further. It's a quirky artifact of early social media's experimental era, when creators still asked wild 'what if' questions.
