Zluda 6 release (run unmodified CUDA applications on non-Nvidia GPUs)

dev_tools

Zluda released version six today, an open-source project that enables unmodified CUDA applications to run on non-Nvidia GPUs. CUDA has long dominated graphics processor programming, but Zluda allows code written for Nvidia's framework to execute on AMD, Intel, and other GPUs instead. According to the release, this expanded compatibility gives developers and organizations flexibility in GPU selection while reducing costs. The project addresses a fundamental gap in GPU interoperability that has locked many workloads into Nvidia's ecosystem.
