More than a thousand people are missing after a glacial collapse triggered flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border, The Guardian reports. At least one hundred sixty-five people have died, with officials saying hundreds of foreign nationals — from India, the US, UK, Australia, Malaysia and Ukraine — are among the missing. An eyewitness on the Tibetan side described the flood bearing down near Gyirong port on Wednesday morning, sweeping away trees and power poles as her group fled.
