NASA Science reports that the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is set to launch on Sunday, August thirtieth, from Kennedy Space Center. The mission, named after NASA's first chief astronomer, will investigate dark energy and dark matter, and conduct a census of planetary systems. It will travel a million miles to the second Lagrange point, the same location as the James Webb Space Telescope. More than one point three million people have their names aboard, and the first images are expected by early twenty twenty-seven.
