Playground Note: Linux on the Adafruit Fruit Jam
tech
According to Adafruit, developer Mikey Sklar has successfully installed Linux on the Adafruit Fruit Jam, a pocket-sized development board. Building on an existing Linux port from the Raspberry Pi Pico2, Sklar had WiFi, LEDs, microSD storage, display output, and USB connectivity working within days of release. The achievement demonstrates that even resource-constrained microcontroller boards can now run full operating systems, expanding the possibilities for makers building intelligent embedded projects.
