San Francisco’s Patchwork Streets
science
According to NASA, an astronaut aboard the International Space Station captured a striking aerial photograph of San Francisco on May 27th. The image showcases the city's infrastructure from orbit, highlighting two of the region's most iconic bridges—the Golden Gate spanning north toward Marin County, and the Bay Bridge stretching toward Oakland. From 250 miles up, the urban patchwork reveals the engineering that connects the Bay Area's communities.
