Netflix is doubling down on scripted content. At the Banff World Media Festival, Jinny Howe, head of U.S. and Canada scripted series at Netflix, announced a new hockey romance series called Ice Breaker. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Howe's message during her keynote address was clear: Netflix isn't slowing down. The company remains committed to aggressive content spending across its scripted programming.
