Premium cinema operator CMX Cinemas has acquired nine iPic theater and restaurant locations across Texas, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, and New Jersey, according to Variety. iPic locations offer dine-in cinema experiences with luxury seating and chef-driven food service—and they'll continue operating under the iPic brand despite the ownership change. The deal is the latest consolidation move in the upscale cinema market.
