According to Variety, Singapore-based RisingJoy is launching RJOY, a streaming service dedicated to short-form drama. The platform is rolling out initially in the U.S. and Japan through TikTok Minis—the app's in-built vertical video feature. Rather than competing for attention on YouTube or Netflix, RJOY is betting that TikTok's native format and audience are the right home for microdrama. The launch includes twenty original series, with CEO Cassandra Yang announcing the move at the APOS conference in Bali.
