Kodak’s collectible Charmera camera is getting new Y2K-inspired designs

tech

Kodak is embracing the Y2K revival with new iterations of the Charmera, its retro-styled digital camera that's become a surprising collector's item. According to The Verge, despite producing objectively terrible image quality, the Charmera has found a devoted following thanks to its affordable price and playful throwback designs inspired by Kodak's iconic 1987 single-use Fling camera. The new editions maintain that formula—cheap, fun, and intentionally nostalgic—proving that aesthetic appeal and retro charm can sometimes matter more than actual picture quality.
