Canadian animator Cordell Barker, whose Oscar-nominated shorts 'The Cat Came Back' and 'Strange Invaders' earned critical acclaim, is now in production on an alternative Christmas special called 'The Anta Claus of the South Pole.' According to Variety, the film is co-produced by Tonic DNA and Canada's National Film Board, with support from Crave, and is expected to premiere in 2026.
