Mass rollout planned across Southern Africa for new HIV drug

According to France 24, a new HIV preventive treatment called Lenacapavir is rolling out across Southern Africa. Administered just twice a year, the drug has demonstrated more than 99 percent effectiveness in clinical trials. The campaign targets six nations—South Africa, Zambia, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, and Mozambique—the region most affected by the HIV and AIDS epidemic.
