NASA has developed a machine learning system called TACLS that's improving how meteorologists predict flash floods. The system combines continuous satellite data with AI models to help the National Weather Service forecast flooding more efficiently—giving forecasters crucial extra seconds to warn communities about one of weather's most dangerous scenarios.
