Households could save up to £173 a year by switching to fixed energy deal

The Guardian reports that households in Great Britain could save up to one hundred seventy-three pounds a year by switching to a fixed energy deal. This comes as the government's price cap is set to rise again in October, the second increase in three months, pushing charges to their highest in three years. Moving to a fixed tariff will cushion the blow from that rise and another increase widely predicted for January, the report says.
