According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony's Crunchyroll is expanding deeper into Asia. The anime streaming service will launch in Taiwan this summer, with South Korea following later in 2026. Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini announced the plans at the APOS conference in Bali, citing surging regional interest in anime as a driver of the company's growth strategy.
