Keto diet cut liver fat by 67% in a clinical trial

health

ScienceDaily reports that in a clinical trial of people with obesity, prediabetes and fatty liver disease, a ketogenic diet lowered liver fat by sixty‑seven percent, outperforming Mediterranean and low‑fat diets, which achieved about forty‑five percent reduction. All three diet groups lost roughly ten percent of body weight, and after four to five months, about half of the participants on the keto regimen no longer met criteria for prediabetes. The findings add to evidence that keto may be a particularly effective dietary approach for improving metabolic health in these conditions.
