Datasette, the open-source data tool popular among developers and data journalists, released version 1.0a34 with a major usability upgrade: row editing and deletion directly in the web interface. Until now, you could edit your database through Datasette Agent—the tool's AI chat interface—but not through the regular UI. According to Simon Willison, the creator, this feature was long overdue. You can now insert, edit, and delete rows from table and row pages. It's a straightforward improvement for anyone managing datasets in Datasette.
