Warner Bros. Discovery is expanding its streaming footprint in Asia. HBO Max is rolling out five original series this summer from Taiwan, the Philippines, and Indonesia, premiering between late July and August. The Taiwan slate includes two productions directed by Kao Pin-chuan, with one being the 12-episode coming-of-age drama 'Fired Up.' The move signals the platform's strategy to grow through local content in markets where streaming consumption is surging.
