Americans now lose a quarter of a trillion dollars a year gambling

business

According to reporting from Joey Politano, Americans will lose approximately two hundred fifty billion dollars to gambling this year—a figure that has climbed sixty percent over the past five years. That estimate doesn't account for cryptocurrency and prediction markets, which largely function as additional gambling vehicles. Despite soaring personal debt and active lobbying by the industry, there is currently little prospect of regulatory intervention.
