A seven-year-old Somali boy, Abdiqadir Salah, could lose his ability to walk following a US airstrike in November that killed twelve civilians, according to The Guardian. Shrapnel from the strike embedded in his body, and emergency surgery costing seven hundred fifty pounds could prevent lasting disability. But his family cannot afford the operation. The US military denies that civilians were injured and has declined to provide compensation.
